Malaysia : Best Business Hotel in K.L.

Kuala Lumpur’s Traders Hotel by Shangri-la has often been dubbed as the best business hotel in the city.

After frequent visits to K.L., a mere 5-hour drive away from Singapore where I was based, I have never been impressed by a K.L. hotel with amazing views of the towering Petronas Towers until I have stayed at the Traders Hotel.  Well the newer, more expensive Mandarin Oriental sits next to the twin towers and so it does not have the stunning view of the Traders Hotel, that’s perfectly located opposite the Kuala Lumpur Convention Center (KLCC) beneath the twin towers.

My parents, my sister and I were just on an overnight stay arriving in from Bali on our way back to Singapore but it gave us an unforgettable hotel experience.

A tip: when booking your room, request for ‘park view’ or an odd room number to get a room with amazing views similar to what we had!

This was the view from our room at the 20th floor of the hotel.

This view will only last until after midnight when most of the towers’ lights will be turned off.

The hallway entrance to the room.

We squeezed ourselves into this room with 2 double beds and one extra bed. Not bad for an overnight stay!

The mirror gave a capacious effect on the room.

The medium-sized LCD TV on top of the desk should have been mounted on the wall. But it’s forgivable as probably the hotel would upgrade those TVs to larger ones already mounted on the wall.  There was free internet access both via wi-fi or Ethernet connection, a typical business hotel offering.

The bathroom’s cool, spacious and contemporary.  The tub and shower were inside a sliding glass enclosure.

A generous lighting system brightens up the bathroom.

One of the paintings inside the room.

My parents were indeed overwhelmed as I was.

Well, each one of us has a photo taken with the twin towers fully visible from inside the room.

Was my father probably over reacting?

After the photo shoot we went down to wait at the hotel grounds for the hotel shuttle bus fetching passengers to KLCC and back every 10mins.

We spent some time inside the massive shopping center.

The amazing location of the hotel has been maximized and capped by the pool-side Sky Bar offering jaw-dropping views of the city most especially the Petronas Twin towers.  The bar has been adjudged the best bar in K.L.

Yes, it was a very short stay in the Traders Hotel.  Nonetheless it gave us a taste of what the hotel could offer and rightly, it deserves to be called the best business hotel in K.L. Other hotels are more wanting to claim the title but without the stunning views, they cannot stand up to Traders Hotel.  It was not the best hotel I have stayed in but it was definitely the best hotel for the views of what was once the tallest skycrapers in the world.

Nice post. I learn something more difficult on different blogs everyday. It should always be stimulating to read content material from other writers and apply just a little something from their store. I?d want to use some with the content on my weblog whether or not you don?t mind. Natually I?ll provide you with a link on your internet blog. Thanks for sharing.

Hi there just wanted to give you a brief heads up and let you know a few of the images aren’t loading correctly. I’m not sure why but I think its a linking issue. I’ve tried it in two different web browsers and both show the same outcome.
